I believe that this race went very well. The TeamSpeak server worked great and about 95% of us were able to communicate with each other, leading to a mostly incident free race. It is certain now that TeamSpeak will be used for all of the future races. Everyone drove very clean and very well. Some of you in particular showed true sportsmanship by pushing fuel-less cars around the track/into the pits/across the finish line, and were awarded some extra championship points. The lap system worked out very well, too. It was a lot easier to judge when to pit with that setup. Unfortunately, for some races in the future, possibly even April’s race at Monza, we will have to go back to the time based setup, as Forza caps the number of laps at 50, and potentially for some tracks we will need more laps than that to get an hour and a half of racing time.
As for the race in April, expect the usual re-balancing of the cars, namely the Corvette DP and the 919. There’s also a chance I will bring back the R15, as I’ve been playing with different setups for it and there might be one that will make it fair with everything else. I’m not guaranteeing that it will be back, but there is a possibility. Also, with the April car pack there might be another car added to the list. So far, there has been at least one car per pack that is added, but who knows what will be in the pack. The date of the race is once again going to be towards the end of the month, but I have two options this time: either the 23rd or the 30th. As usual, it will be put up to a vote in my next post, which will be up soon.
This race went very well, and I’m not just saying that because I came 1st. Everyone drove very well and very fast. If all of the other races go this well, we are in for some great racing.
