Here are the results, replay, and photos from the seventh round of The Oppositelock Forza 6 Endurance Championship at Spa. In addition, the current points standings are in this post, as well as a few notes for the next round in August.
Here is the link to the replay, in case you missed the race. Special thanks to xmrplanktonx for streaming the race. This was our first and potentially only rain race in this series. Understandably then, there were a few incidents and crashes, but given the circumstances, I’d say it went pretty well.

This race went pretty well in my eyes. Sure, there were more than a few crashes, but this was a rain race. The track was covered in water in horribly inconvenient places *cough cough* Raidillon *cough cough* that desired nothing more than to fuck shit up. I’d say everyone drove great given that situation. However, I do have some comments about the chat during the race. At times, the chat got a little out of hand and proved to be a little distracting. I’m not singling anyone out, it was no one’s fault. We just started talking and sometimes didn’t really stop. Now, I’m not saying we should stop the chatter. In fact, I encourage random conversation in moderation, the critical word there being moderation. From now on, if you are being distracted by conversation in the race, just ask everyone to tone it down a bit. I don’t see any reason why that would be an issue, and someone did something similar to that back at Sebring as well. Like I said though, don’t think this means conversation needs to stop. These races are supposed to be laid back and fun. Just don’t let it get overwhelming is all. Also, and I’m saying this now because this is something I should have said back before Daytona, but if any of you have concerns about the race or actions during the race, please contact me. Message me here or on Xbox Live and we can discuss the concern or I can give you my email and discuss it there. I would just put my email here, but I don’t want to get hacked by whoever decides to read this that isn’t a racer (call me paranoid, idk).
Now, for the race in August we will be at Road America. For those of you worried about school starting up again, I’m going to hold the race before that happens. I wouldn’t be able to host it after that anyway. The potential dates I’m looking at are the 7th, 20th, and 21st. As usual, there will be a round of BOP adjustments, although I haven’t started testing yet so I’m not sure where they will be. If I’m lucky, for once nothing will need changed. Also, I can guarantee that this race will be somewhat easier than the trio of races we just finished.
Well, we all survived a rain race. Potentially the only one of the season. Depending on where the vote for the December race goes, of course. It will be interesting to see what happens now that we get back to normalcy.
